Come hear from legislators, organizations, and directly impacted people speaking of their experiences, work, and why they have empathy for incarcerated women. Join us in front of the State Capitol, and advocating to legislators to pass Dignity For Incarcerated Women GA.
9am -11am: Introduction to GA Day of Empathy. Legislators will discuss #Dignity For Incarcerated Women GA bill details, history, and progress. Supporting organizations will tell why they have Empathy, support incarcerated women, and stand behind Dignity For Incarcerated Women GA. Southern Center For Human Rights will teach Lobbying 101, explaining how to advocate with your legislator, and help people learn who their legislators are.
11am-12pm: We will gather in front of the GA State Capitol for pictures and go inside to advocate for Dignity For Incarcerated Women GA.
